Another Snowy Morning

More flurries overnight coated an old crabapple tree...  The sunlight was almost too bright for this photographic attempt.

Have you ever seen blue shadows?

Snowflakes That Stay...

I woke up to this lovely white landscape today:

Sadly, it is already beginning to melt away...

Altered Envelopes

These extra offering envelopes, rescued
from the trash, seemed to have
some alternate possibilites.
With acrylic paint, collage
and a gold paint pen they are
now decorated for another use.

A quantity of them might make
a very clever tall/narrow booklet
if attached along one edge...

A Frosty Morning Stroll

Just after sunrise I bundled up for a walk.
It was 25 degrees Fahrenheit outside.
I could see my breath- brrrr!
A bald eagle flew off from a tree near the creek.
That was a lovely surprise.

Leaves and grasses were rimmed with rime.

Upon my return, the neighbors' ginger cat
came running up to me,
expressing his discontent with the cold.

"Hello" roll
"Nothing to the right of me..."

"Nothing to the left of me..."
Always keep the bird feeders in sight...
I think he had been hanging out under the porch.
Nothing like a warm feathered thing
for breakfast on a freezing morning.

Gaudy? Bling?

I used glitter, Magic Mesh, sequins, charms,
bling trim, aluminum foil, Washi tape,
fancy fiber/yarn, patterned tissue paper
and Capri shells for these collages.
So much fun!
