Fun with Artists' Trading Cards

Someone sent me a few unusual 

silvery square paper "stamps" 

with a black image inked on each one.

Someone else gave me 

some old junk jewelry parts.  

The backgrounds for these 

Vintage images ATC's were clipped 

out of a carpet catalog.  Oh what fun!!!

Bird Feeder With A Snow Cap

Visitors this early winter have included cardinals, black-capped chickadees, gold finches, the occasional blue jay, slate colored juncos, and nuthatches.  Adding more birdseed is a daily event.

(The other feeder I had to clear off to refill...)

New Snowfall & Tnen Some More!

Sunlight was sparkling 

off the new fallen snow this morning.  

These "snow caps" on the Coneflower stalks 
caught my attention.


Another day, cloudy, more snow!

New December Art

I dripped alcohol inks over an 

acrylic painted background (below)... 

Funny thing- it sort of reminds

me of a cave drawing horse,

but the reverse where the ink soaked

through looks like a fluffy lamb!

This Zentangle design was started

over a pre-patterned background,

and was recently finished
with black/clear stickers.

Patriotic Cranberry Salad

This Thanksgiving I tried (invented?) a new fruit salad.  

The ingredients included:

2 bags "fresh" cranberries (sorted and rinsed)
20 ounce can of pineapple chunks in juice
1/2 cup dry coconut flakes
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 tsp. dry ginger (you could shred peeled fresh ginger root)

(I forgot the apple chunks)

It turned out YUMMY!  And so colorful!
