Alcohol Inks - Artists' Trading Coins

Several art sessions this past week resulted
in the completion of
quite a few Artists' trading cards,
and the backs were as
fun to design as the fronts were.

Missed It

I saw the bees buzzing around the
cucumber blossoms and tried to get
a picture when one landed.  OOPS,
bees are faster than my shutter finger!

Textured August Art

These collages were applied over stucco texture
(acrylic paint mixed with stucco,
pressed through a stencil).
Always more economical when purchased
though a hardware store
than from a craft store!

Sunflower Twinchies For A Group Swap

The backgrounds were made using decorated papers
sent by a mail art pal.
I added collage, rubber stamped images, pen details.

Butterfly-themed Cards

These collaged cards put together for a group swap started with a painted tissue paper background received in a decorated papers exchange.  Rubberstamped images and tissue paper circles added detail.  The collaged butterfly cut-out's and postage stamps were the last elements added.

Abandoned Chick?

This baby robin was crying out loudly in the
bush outside my kitchen window this afternoon.
Then he disappeared.
Later I was picking blackberries in the nearby
woods and- there he was.  He even stayed put
while I ran in for my camera, then posed quietly
for a few pictures.
I wonder where his mother was, and why he is
so young so late in the summer.  Hope he learns
to survive before winter sets in...

Nature's Brush Strokes

These cloud wisps fascinated me this morning:
Actually, besides brush strokes,
they look like fossil remains I might find
in the shale beds.

Dew on the Pink Lily

59-degrees and sunny this mid-summer morning.
What a lovely sight!
