Elusive Butterfly

This Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly was posing nicely on the Tiger Lilies (I used to call them Turk's Caps) so I ran to get my camera.  It must have known I was after it, because every time I focused on the butterfly, it moved on to the next flower.  This was the only picture I could get.

Zine Frenzy!

Once I decided to dive into two large bags of paper snippets, scraps, images, etc. and create Zines with them, the fun began.  So far I have completed seven very different (cleverly-folded) little booklets, each one a collage on a different color Gelli Plate Print (of which I have quite a few!).  Fun fun fun!

resulted when I mopped up alcohol ink smudges 

from the deli paper covering my work table,

using a a sponge dampened with 91% alcohol. 

Then I dabbed it over photo paper.

Give me a "Line"

Did you ever take one word and repeat it over and over until it sounds silly and means nothing?  Have you ever taken one word and thought of all the phrases and sayings that have that one word in them?  I've noticed that when I concentrate on just one word, repeating it over and over again, it begins to sound really funny!

About a decade ago I wrote down every saying and phrase that I could think of containing the word "Line."  Then I put together what I called A Small Book of Line.  I didn't "cheat" and look in the dictionary, and see how many I came up with!
