Yummy Breakfast Treat

This has been a busy year of fruit harvesting already, and there are yet berries to be picked!  I decided to make some batches of no-cook freezer jam which turned out to be a relatively quick and simple process.  The nice part was not having boiling fruit and steam heating up the kitchen.

Here's my first meal of the day:
peach-elderberry freezer jam
on a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel.  Delicious!

I love Syracuse china dishes!

Yesterday's Artist's Trading Cards

Yesterday I had fun making these cards
as I stood gazing about my art space
for inspiration:

My Second Attempt At Mini-Books from Masterboards

The collage for these two groupings
was relatively easy to put together.
I mixed vintage and modern images
to make the two Masterboard sheets.

After collaging bits of papers
all over each sheet
and adding some images,
I cut out nine 3" squares
from each master sheet,
added rubberstamping
and postage stamps,
and ink-scuffed the edges.

Almost ready to swap,
but I still need to add
poem, saying or simple greeting
plus my personal info
to the back of each "page."

It's Berry Time!!!

This is what I did today:
I went to the nearest strawberry picking fields
and spent about 1+1/2 hours finding these treasures.

I picked 7 quarts.

Washed them...

Hulled them,
spread them out
on waxed-paper covered cookie sheets
(tops down, I don't know if that
makes a difference or not...)

and popped them in the freezer.
When frozen, they will go into
labeled plastic freezer containers.
YUM!

And Yet More Artist's Trading Cards

Sometmes when I go to the art room
I look around at the bits and pieces,
scraps and stickers
and inspiration strikes.
It helps to have 3+1/2" x 2+1/2"
rectangles of paper already cut
ahead of time, just waiting
for the next step.
Oh what fun!!!

Does anyone want to swap/trade one-on-one?

An Assosrtment of Artist's Trading Cards

I can't believe I didn't post these before.
Obviously I enjoy making ATC's
because I have another batch
in the presser-books.  Will post pictures
after they are dry.

Does anyone want to exchange on a one-to-one basis?

My 1st Minibook from Masterboard Completed

(See previous related posting...)
This was SO very much fun,  I hope to make more
of these clever little books.
Mostly collage, some rubber-stamping,
it was not difficult at all.
Here's the cover and a few of the pages:
