Take Care of Your Heart

"Hearts In Outer Space" Wall Quilt
by hhc
Over the past three weeks I found out what the phrase "Heart Attack' could mean.

Looking back, I realize how fortunate I am

that there wasn't a devastating result

following what happened.

No, it wasn't me, but someone I hold dear.

SO I want to warn others to be aware.

The classic signs for men:

 chest pain, left arm pain

(shortness of breath?)

Subtle hints of impending trouble:

Feeling winded while riding a bike

when normally (or previously) one did not.

Chest tightness when going outside

into cold wintry weather.

It might NOT be asthma.

I'm sure there are many other indicators, but-

if someone had early symptoms and

had a checkup and some testing done,

the repair work afterwards might be

a lot less invasive

than open-heart surgery.

Just trying to be helpful here...
