Have A Heart

I found a new use for some Gelli Plate prints,
too late for Valentine's Day.
Some hearts I cut out free-hand,
some with patterns;
added stickers or Washi Tape,
then edged with ink smudges- Voila!

My long-time friend's husband,
now a widower after 60+ years,
has difficulty reading.
So I thought I could send him some hearts
to cheer him up.

Snowbank Skeletons

I made a trip to the northeast part of the state
over the weekend to say my last goodbye
to a long-time friend.  I arrived an hour too late.
It's too easy to take people for granted
until they are gone.

As the sun sank lower in the sky,
the melting snowbanks look blue.

Gelli Plate Orange & Blue

I don't know why, but this happy accident
"grunge" Gelli Plate print is one of my
absolute favorites so far:
Acrylic paint, hardware cloth (metal) resist, rubber washers, roller rubber stamp

Some Recent Gelli Plate Prints

An interesting bright pink plate wipe-off:

And another wipe-off, which I've titled
"Urban Green Spaces"

Fun With Plastic Netting/Mesh

Plastic produce bags serve a second purpose when stretched out and flattened to make resists on a paint-covered Gelli Plate:

This pattern reminds me of something huge I found lying on a pile of rubbish in a city alley years ago...  shudder

Yesterday's Snow!

On Friday morning the door was blocked
with snow and had to be repeatedly shoved
to get it to open wide enough to get out!

With a yard stick/meter stick I measured 21"
of snow before beginning to shovel.
It weighed down the mock orange shrubs

Piled up on the clothes lines

And strong winds made peaks on the roofs
