I saw this on a neighbor's front porch

some years ago

and went back to take a picture.

This reflects my sadness about how our country

is being torn apart and

disintegrating from the inside out.

Although I hate politics,

I most definitely intend to vote.

I hope all of you will, too

Some September/October Post Card Art

Yes, it's been a while since I made any art to post here...

These are some I don't think I've posted before,  and a few that are brand new:

A paint flow plus rubber stamps

Wall Quilt Re-Runs

I have begun to make some quilt-block potholders for a family member, which led to a stroll down memory lane.  I was a bit amazed to recall some of the wall quilts I made in the 1990's...  (LOVE those Batik's!!!)  Every quilt has a story.

I've posted pictures of some of these before, but that was then, and this is now.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Therapy Rodents

Not only are pets fun to watch (good entertainment value), I'll bet you didn't know that the perfect remedy for a headache is:  apply one chipmunk!  Ha!

Colors of Nature

No matter how many colored leaves I see, I can not get over how very beautiful each one is.

Today With Saddened Hearts We Remember

I remember exactly where I was, what I was doing, how I felt 19 years ago today.  My wall quilt (pictured above) was the result.  My dear neighbor/friend Shirley A. composed these two poems (adhered to the back) a month later.  She is now gone.

We will never forget.  Prayers go out for the families and loved ones of those who died- both the victims and the first responders, and those who live on with injuries and illnesses that resulted from their unexpected proximity, and/or from their brave response to the call of danger.
