Revisiting a previous technique, I started with an 8+1/2" x 11" sheet of white card stock. First, I randomly collaged torn strips of various script and text papers, using gel medium to apply them. Next, I added three colors of Acrylic paint with brushes of different widths , making curved and straight lines.
After the layers dried overnight, I cut the sheet into post cards. (The thin paint lines were added after the cards were cut up.) Then I added silver paint rings to one, gold eraser-dabs to the others. Last, I attached a few collage items like circle punch-out's and postage stamps, ending with Magic Mesh and a beaded applique (see below).
