Midnight Magic

Last night the temperatures dipped down to the 10 to 15 degree (F) range.  Diamond stars twinkled overhead in the dark sky, and snow crystals on the ground sparkled like faceted gems under the garage light.  Because I've seen this before and tried to take a picture, I knew from experience there would be no way to capture the effect with my digital camera.  So I committed it to memory.  Some sweltering summer night I will wish for snow.  Winter does have its delights!
