Drop Cloth Art: Be Square

I've been working in a square format lately:  1+1/2", 2+1/2", and now 5+1/2" sizes.  The two squares below were prompted by my "drop cloth" (freezer paper covering work surface).  I just couldn't throw it out!

The shapes (Alcohol Inks spots), marks (permanent marker) and color combination almost looked Oriental to me.

So I backed the freezer paper with thin cardboard, cut it into two squares, and enhanced a few lines with black acrylic paint, later adding orange marks with acrylic paint.  I really like the way these squares turned out!

TIP:  I've begun sanding the back sides of my papers before adhering with White Glue, burnishing well to help them stay together, using waxed paper as a slight buffer over the art.
